Idabel Football Preview: Offense – Presented by Pine Cellular

Head coach – Scott Pratt

2021: 4-6

The anticipation of the 2022 football season is growing for multiple reasons, as the Warriors stand ready to their new football stadium. Adding to the energy is the return of 10 starters to the offensive unit paced by VYPE Top 100 running back Ravian Larry (5-10, 190, So.) who electrified the Idabel fans by averaging 10.4 yards per touch and total 1103 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns. After battling through multiple injuries last season, Waylon Phillips (6-0, 170, Jr.) returns at quarterback with added confidence and skills. Phillips, described by head coach Scott Pratt as one of the toughest players he’s ever coached, passed for 1218 yards including 14 touchdown strikes. Radale Larry (5-10, 155, Sr.) who generated over 800 yards total offense returns at wide receiver along with run-pass receiver threat Martrail Lopez (5-10, 155, So.), Joseph Gibson (6-0, 145, Jr.) and Payden Jefferson (5-11, 170, Sr.) to give Idabel multiple speed options from the spread formation offense while tight end Case Pratt (6-0, 195, Sr.) can be used as another receiver or in the ground game. Three-year veteran Caden Coursey (6-2, 270, Sr.) along with Raydon McCullough (6-3, 275, Sr.) and Trevor Smith (5-11, 275, Sr.) provide experience plus size, strength and physicality to empower the ground game as well as pass protection. “Our skill players now have a year’s experience and our big guys in the front line are stronger; that will allow us to be balanced in our offensive schemes,” said Pratt in an enthusiastic voice.
