IDABEL LADY WARRIORS
COACH: Glenndell Threatt Jr.
Record: 10-14
OUTLOOK
Returning to the sidelines for the first time since 2015, head coach Glenndell Threatt Jr. brings energy and experience back to the Idabel Lady Warriors program as they look to take a major step forward in 2025-26. With a roster that blends veteran leadership and young talent, Threatt believes this group has what it takes to compete and grow stronger as the season progresses.
“Well, I believe this could be a really good basketball team,” said Threatt. “We have a young group of girls that’s going to go through some growing pains early on. I also feel that we will peak at the right time.”
The Lady Warriors are led by senior Quintasia Johnson (Sr., 5-8, PF/C), who returns after missing much of last season due to an ACL injury. Her leadership and presence in the paint will be vital as Idabel establishes its rhythm early in the season. “Quintasia will lead us in the direction that we’re needing to go,” Threatt said.
Joining Johnson are key returners Kate McClure (Jr., 5-8, SF/PF), Derrica Hunt (So., 5-4, SG/PG), Jade Garrett (So., 5-8, SF/PF), and Mireya “MiMi” Gonzalez (So., 5-6, SG) — a group that brings toughness, skill, and familiarity to the floor. “Kate, Derrica, Jade, and MiMi are the most experienced returning from last year’s team,” said Threatt.
The Lady Warriors’ promising freshman class will also play an important role this year, including Myla Green (Fr., 6-0, C), Taysyn Hall (Fr., 5-7, SG/SF/PF), Bailey Galloway (Fr., 5-6, SG), Adelynn Clardy (Fr., 5-7, PG/SG/SF), and Aliana Wharry (Fr., 5-7, SF). “Our freshman class will have to grow up pretty fast,” Threatt said. “I’m excited to watch these young women grow on and off the court.”
Rounding out the roster are MacKensie Cravens (So., 5-6, PG/SG), Myniya Young (So., 5-4, SG), and Adrianna Williams (So., 6-0, C) — adding depth and athleticism across multiple positions.
With Johnson’s leadership, experienced returners, and a talented young core, the Lady Warriors are ready to embrace their journey under coach Threatt’s direction.
